My wife and
I enjoyed our trip to Costa Rica very much. The
climate was great, the day trips to the rainforest,
volcano and hot springs were truly memorable,
and the information provided by the program on
Sleep Apnea was interesting and helpful.
The Hotel Martino is located
on a gorgeous property, the staff was very helpful
and the food was excellent. Best of luck with
future programs.
Jerry Resnick, DMD FL
“I`ve attended a number of surgery
meetings, and this was by far the most interesting
and helpful. Outstanding surroundings and organization.”
Charles Schaepler, DDS NE
“The course was quality continuing
education in an unbelievably beautiful environment
at a cost that is similar to local courses where
you´re stuffed into a 66 degree hotel lecture
room with 200 other dentists on folding chairs.
You have to experience Costa Rica and the wonderful
Hotel Martino-good CE is "icing".”
Robert Davidson, D.D.S.
“My wife and I extremely enjoyed our seminar
in Costa Rica. Our course on oral pathology
was excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the
instructor. We enjoyed the Hotel Martino,
which was very comfortable, the staff very friendly,
and the Italian based cooking very good-excellent.
Costa Rica itself was beautiful, safe, and friendly.
We are planning on attending another seminar."
Lynn Thomas, D.D.S.
“I was very happy to attend the University
of Florida continuing education program in Costa
Rica. It is such an exciting and exotic
country to see, first hand. I enjoyed the
extensive CE program and felt that it was good,
practical information that I could directly
apply to my practice, as soon as I returned to
work. The facility for the program was surprisingly
first rate. The location provided an excellent
base from which to tour and was a relaxing, wonderfully
run resort with many amenities, including spa
facilities. I would encourage anyone
who might be thinking of such a trip, to take
the plunge and go for this one!”
Roger G McArtor, R.Ph. AZ
“The opportunity to participate in
a well-organized, well-presented CE program is
always valued. But when you add in the lush backdrop
of Costa Rica, you have a win-win! The University
of Florida College of Pharmacy Continuing Education
Programs and its host, Dr. Douglas Benn, are to
be congratulated on creating an outstanding training
& travel combination that is both reasonable
and – dollar for dollar – a tremendous
travel bargain.Resort Martino is an oasis
- a lovely pool and garden area, complete fitness
center and spa, as well as a warm staff and amazing
food – and it is all set within a few hours’
ride to most any spot in Costa Rica. The Resort
staff kindly assists guests with tours to coffee
plantations, the rainforest, the rapids, volcanoes,
and lush landscapes. The Resort is just outside
the main city of San Jose, and yet far enough
to provide you with a sense of being far removed
from the city noises.”
Ross Webb, B.S. R.Ph. FL
“Although I have attended many courses
at the U Of F Campus, this recent course was my
first experience attending a U of F
off-campus course...which was held in Costa Rica.
The course was excellent .Going to a country
I have never been to and not speaking the language
was tempered to the point of putting me at ease
prior to leaving the States. Every question
I e-mailed was immediately answered
to my satisfaction. I was met at the airport by a driver from
the hotel..
No problem. We found all the people
to be very helpful and friendly. The hotel had
room service available, even tho our arrival
was late and we had missed dinner. The Hotel
Martino is in a setting of large trees and various
plants...very beautiful. The weather was
ideal and we had no need for Airconditioning.
Meals were served in an open air setting most
of the time, which was very pleasant.
Also, the hotel was very helpful in setting up
tours to see the volcano sites, coffee plantations
and many other exciting trips... Also, the spa
was very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.
Thank you.”
